The Stockholm Research Institute of Art and Sound
is a pioneering, independent, international institute with a focus on the research of individual and collective realities, mythologies and consciousness with respect to art, music composition and sound.
In addition, The Stockholm Research Institute of Art and Sound critically explores conveyed normative formats of traditional academic and educational art institutions, wanting to promote a new approach on artistic research, that goes beyond a mere adopting or miming traditional academic methods. Further, it is among the institute’s goals, to formulate free settings of researching artistic practice, by implementing innovative research methods and by shaping new discourses, that take the specific dynamics of artistic processes strongly into consideration.
